Crossing the Line

Sometimes, you cross the line--from acquaintance to friend, from colleague to kindred soul.

When that happens, it's because you saw a little bit of yourself (or your fears) reflected in the other. And when stories are shared, it's because you both know that--somehow--the other will understand.

You also realize that the other's experiences hold lessons that you needed to learn--right at that time, right at that moment. You both had to hear what the other had to say.

The Universe/God often communicates with us through the friends we hold dear. And at that moment when you cross the line--from acquaintance to friend, from colleague to kindred soul--it's the Universe's way of reassuring you that your prayers are being heard and your questions are being answered.
